WiiMote connects, but games don't react to it

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
My real WiiMote is connected to Dolphin (it says so in the status bar and the yellow overlay in the game, also the blue LED on the WiiMote stopped blinking and the first LED is on), but it won't react in the games.
Only exception so far is Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, where the A button works, but nothing else.
What did you expect to happen instead?
It would work ingame, i.e., the game reacts to the WiiMote
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Start Dolphin
- Connect the WiiMote (Press 1+2) and start the game (also tried it the other way around, also reconnecting during the game)
- Press the A button when prompted during the title screen
- Nothing happens, menu should appear. (In PC:COW A works, but I can't select any menu point.)
Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
4.0-5064, compiled it myself with GCC-4.9.
Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
Did not try older versions
What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)
Ubuntu 12.04.5, Kernel 3.2.0-75, amd64, Motorola PCS Bluetooth Device, Standard WiiMote RVL-CNT-01
