closedProgressive Scan causes certain games to drop frames with XFB (Virtual or Real) Enabled
0%
Description
Game Name?
Wii System Menu
Super Smash Bros. Brawl - RSBE01
Super Mario Galaxy
Pokemon Snap (When hitting home button) NAKE
Tales from Monkey Island
What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
Despite running full speed, if you have progressive scan enabled with certain Wii games, they will only show about half the frames. This happens even if you set the framelimiter to five, making it very, very obvious.
What did you expect to happen instead?
What steps will reproduce the problem?
[Don't assume we have ever played the game and know any level names. Be as
specific as possible.]
- Enable Progressive Scan
- Enable XFB, Real or Virtual
- Start afflicted title
- Cry profusely
Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
It's been broken forever.
Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
An older version doesn't fix it, but there will likely be a fix in the future which will close this issue.
What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)
Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)
Core i5 3570K, GTX 760, Windows 7.1 x64
Considering that we want to make compatibility of accuracy options high without drawbacks, this probably should be handled ASAP.
