Description

Game Name?

Bully: Scholarship Edition - RB7E54

What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

When booting Bully: Scholarship Edition with an emulated Wiimote configured, the game hangs. Speed Up Disc Transfer Rate currently works around it, but this is obviously wrong.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Bootup the game with an Emulated Wiimote. That's literally it. Speedup Disc Transfer Rate on = no hang. Speedup Disc Transfer Rate off = hang. Real/No Wiimotes work fine regardless.

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on? Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which versions of Dolphin used to work?

This isn't really a regression, but it started with 4.0-4898 -> https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/commit/598dc033f2cfca10647d1fe476039e405c3a835b

Prior to that build, Wii games didn't have loading times working at all.

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

Core i5 3570K, GTX 760, Windows 7

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)

The logs show the game hanging as it connects the Wiimote, followed by dropped packets spammed forever.

How the game queries Wiimotes as fast as possible as a means to limit the game since they read at 200hz, but since emulated wiimote supports infinite speed, it's w/e

So I don't forget again.

Apparently fixed by 5.0-6907 (which changed FS timings to be more realistic).

I'm not 100% convinced the underlying issue is fixed though, so I'm leaving this as 'Accepted'.
