Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Star Fox: Assault
What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.
No video output occasionally on game start. Usually these games don't have video problems. Only occurs on Android. The problem occurs too inconsistently to make a reproduction scenario. Possibly more likely to occur if Dolphin is recalled from background programs and played until completing one match in Brawl. I'll update the issue if I find a reproducible scenario. I did manage to capture a log from when the problem occurred. It can be compared to the log from the next issue I'm about to make to determine if any errors are relevant to this problem.

Also, FPS and the startup video backend OSD message doesn't appear when this issue occurs.

I'm leaning more towards this has something to do with Dolphin being recalled from background programs.

This problem goes away if you rotate the screen.
I also found a way to reproduce it in 5.0-6354.
- Reproduce #10725
- Allow Android prompt to restart app after crash
- Start any game.

After reproducing #10725 and restarting Dolphin from the android crash prompt, logcat spams "W/GM:SystemHelper: sysfs data read exception". This warning does not appear when starting Dolphin normally. When it does appear, this issue appears.

Alt method to reproduce (in case the screen rotation issues are solved):
- Reproduce "Brawlex Expanded CSS" brawl mod "start menu re-entry" glitch.
- Allow Android prompt to restart app after crash
- Start any game

#10725 is fixed and the Brawl mod start menu re-entry glitch was not Dolphin's fault. This issue is no longer reproducible. Fixed in https://dolphin-emu.org/download/dev/dd922660c9fdc466c707049888a24dfea0fb4c8c/
