What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

The GameCube IPL displays fine with DirectX 11 and Vulkan, but not OpenGL, where the bottom half of the screen is black.

(The software renderer doesn't work either, but because it didn't work even back when OpenGL did, I don't think it's related to this issue.)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Run the GameCube Main Menu with each backend. Because the Qt interface has a bug with selecting backends (see issue #11050), it'd be better to test with DolphinWx, or at least verify that the correct backend appears in the title bar.

Is the issue present in the latest development version? For future reference, please also write down the version number of the latest development version.

Yes, 5.0-7197

Is the issue present in the latest stable version?

No, in 5.0, with XFB enabled, it renders properly in both DirectX 11 and OpenGL

If the issue isn't present in the latest stable version, which is the first broken version? (You can find the first broken version by bisecting. Windows users can use the tool https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds and anyone who is building Dolphin on their own can use git bisect.)

5.0-7151

If your issue is a graphical issue, please attach screenshots and record a three frame fifolog of the issue if possible. Screenshots showing what it is supposed to look like from either console or older builds of Dolphin will help too. For more information on how to use the fifoplayer, please check here: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=FifoPlayer

This is the menu that appears after the GameCube logo, when no disc is inserted, or A is held during the start-up sequence.

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 (2.66 GHz, 4 cores)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750
6 GB RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)

Happens with the default config.

Yeah, HybridXFB is having problems with the games that use a specific XFB format. I'm surprised D3D is working to be honest.

Just to make sure we're on the same page here, you're not talking about some longstanding problem, right?

The first build where this breaks is 5.0-7151, built less than three days ago.
