Is there anything else that can help developers narrow down the issue? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files, savefiles, savestates)
Not that I'm aware of. Absolutely nothing happens.

It should create a file in the Global User Directory, specifically in the dump folder. It doesn't prompt for where to save the file, though; it just always uses the same location.

There is no folder called dump
in the global user directory. I have a folder called dumps
which I use for my MYSQL database dumps, but the memory dumps are not located there.
There is also no ~/.dolphin-emu folder either.

- Status changed from New to Questionable
By "Global User Directory", we mean a certain Dolphin-specific directory, not ~
.
Please check if there is a dolphin-emu
directory in e.g. ~/.config
.
