Description
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Load saved game from attached memory card file
- Try to enter the "Items" and then "trade" or "list" menus
- Or try to enter one of the support conversations (menu-> support)
- Or try to play the last chapter (Endgame). The game hangs during
introduction to the last chapter, during unskippable conversation between
characters.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Game hangs. Character graphics is not drawn on the screen (you can see only
backgrounds). The problem starts after chapter 23 of the game. Before that,
it works fine.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
The bug is confirmed in Dolphin revisions up to SVN 730, both x86 and x64,
under Vista 64 and Windows XP (32 bit) SP3. The dualcore, optimize
quantizers and idle settings have no effect.
Please provide any additional information below.
It didn't work with Fire Emblem PAL so I guess you are using NTSC?
I tried it in NTSC now. I think I get the same problems. However I my experience the
hangings are kind of random. Sometimes I can enter the Items and trade menus, but
then it hangs after a while. And sometimes it hangs just as I press Items. I also
entered had a support conversation without any problem. I tried to select the
Endgame, leave the base, then I could press Start to get past one conversation, but
then it seemed to hang at a new conversation box without any text in it (and the
tents still in the background).
I could not locate the problem. I tried without JIT and with the DSDP LLE plugin but
with no difference. I could not see any unusual messages in any of the debug logs.
I forgot to say that I also attached a fixed memory card file that works with new
SVNs. It was a little tricky to make it work because in this case I had to add
another savegame to the file before it worked, the original file only had a Fire
Emblem save and nothing else on it.
By the way. I noticed that the game seems to have the same problem with the volume
for the streaming tracks that Paper Mario has. They almost always have 0 or close to
zero volume (sometimes the volume is 32, but that's far to low the be hearable, the
volume should probably be in the region of 4000 or so). And Paper Mario also has a
strange hanging problem. But I don't think the hanging is related to the volume
problem.
I also noticed that the game disc has a DTK flag (a 01 value at 0x00000008). But I
could not see any calls to AUDIOSTREAM. Does anyone know if it ever uses DTK music?
The streaming tracks were working in revisions 2xx-4xx. I also have a problem with
introduction graphics (screens between chapters). They are white in revs 7xx, while
in 2xx or 4xx they were working perfectly.
The problem still persists in rev 1450 :(
I Can confirm that the problem still exists in rev 1500 in Linux with Ubuntu 64-bit.
I have same prolem. load game in ch21, select outfit and game hang. If you star game
without enter outfit, game hang while lvup someone.
Can anyone fix this ?

@thanhphi1 I was just talking about how to fix the savegame. Not the game.
This problem still exists in r4922. The game hangs after Elincia says "Fight True",
making it impossible to progress past that point. New frames are generated for about
a minute after which the FPS meter stops updating.
Tested settings: x64, JIT, JIT-IL, single/dual core, idle skipping on/off
From a suggestion in the forums I tried r4586 which doesn't have this problem. In
that revision Ranulf and Ike appears as they should and the game continues as it should.
Issue 2635 has been merged into this issue.
Please respond if this issue is still valid, or it will be closed.

Are you sure? It is fixed for a while now and i even remember finishing the game with no crashes due to it.
I wasn't able to load the attached fixed savefile in 6857, Fire Emblem NTSC claims it's corrupted.
It doesn't matter anymore, if you want you can close this thread, I gave up on the game awhile ago
This doesn't mean that the game shouldn't be fixed. Saves are broken though.

I agree with Adam just because you are not playing the game does not mean the issue should not be fixed.
Does anyone have a fresh NTSC save that we can use for testing or who can maybe confirm if the save is working for them in the later builds?
An already corrupted save won't work, otherwise it works just fine here using the latest.

Closing this issue, i just finished the game again and all those symptoms where fixed many revs ago.
