Description

  1. Game Name and ID (as it appears in right click > properties: "GZ2P01",
    "RSBE01", etc):
    Tried with:
•The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker [GZLE01]
    •Super Smash Bros. Melee [GALE01]
They worked perfectly before I compressed them with Wii Backup Fusion.

Dolphin would crash right after fading in to the Nintendo logo on Wind Waker, it would only show a black screen on SSBM and then crash.

2) What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Being able to play the games.
Dolphin crashes.

3) Did the game ever work correctly (i.e. not have this problem) on an
earlier version of dolphin? Please specify the exact revision when the
problem began.
I don't know...

4) What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Make a Compressed ISO (.ciso) of the game's ISO.
  2. Open it with Dolphin.
  3. Craaash

5) What version of dolphin are you using (32bit/64bit along with the
version as it appears in the title bar, etc)? Do not say 'latest version'
this changes multiple times a day.
On what operating system, drivers, and hardware? Be sure to list OS,
graphics driver information, and video card model if you are having
graphics problems, for example.
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3. iMac 27". 2.7GHz Intel Core i5, 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3, AMD HD6770M.

6) Please provide any additional information below.

7) Attachments. IMPORTANT! We have a limited storage quota on
GoogleCode, so please use a 3rd party host for screenshots or any other
files (http://min.us/ for example).

We've chosen not to support CISO.

oh really? By support, you mean you won't implement it or you implemented it and just don't care if it works or not? because I just compiled from git on ubuntu and... well, Wii CISOs work perfectly fine. Unless CISOs are designed to work like normal ISO images or something like that. Also I downloaded a Mac build from dolphin-emulator.com (which sometimes makes me doubt is part of the project or is owned by some guys compiling builds for Mac and Windows) and the Info.plist mentions .ciso as a document type for dolphin.

It's just that Dolphin already have a compressed image format built in already and nobody wants to make another one. If you make a patch that implements .ciso support and submit that I'm sure people would look at it more.

What, Dolphin does support ciso images... idk who Sonic1 talked to about not supporting cisos, it's actually quite a bit of news to me.

From what I have been told, CISO support was a patch that was given to the Dolphin team. "it seemed to work", so it was committed. We have never maintained it afaik.

oh ok. Well if you consider doing something about it just don't remove it please it works perfectly with Wii games and I'd rather not have to recompress Wii games into gcz :(
