Sound effects repeat forever in Battalion Wars 2

Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Start Battalion Wars 2
  2. Go to the menu
  3. Click anything that makes a sound, e.g. shooting the soldiers in the
    background or creating a savefile, and the sound effects that are played
    will play repeatidly and stack up. Disappears when the prologue mission
    loads: Happens again ingame, but the emulator crashes shortly after anyway.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Sound effects should stop after being played once

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
This happenes on all the revisions I tested (2195, 2276 and 2390)
