What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
No controls will work. I get to the start screen and am stuck. I'm using the built in keyboard. I addition I am unable to remap keys under GC pad. And controller 1 is set to default controller.
What did you expect to happen instead?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
- I have a feeling it is something with my mac because dolphin is highly rated but for me, its just to load up the game from the selection menu
Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.

Change the Device to "Keyboard/0/Whatever" instead of "Input/0/Whatever". That's a common issue people run into on OS X and really should be worked around somehow.
If that doesn't help, provide screenshots of your GCPad settings (protip: Cmd+Shift+3 for whole screen, Cmd+Shift+4 for portion of screen, Cmd+Shift+4 then spacebar for single window) and try on a current development build of Dolphin: https://dolphin-emu.org/download/

Maybe we should make some kind of issue for this sometime, but I can't think of a good way to do it, thus, I'm closing the issue. About the logitech f310; Dolphin is compatible with most (all?) controllers that work on my system, not sure if OSX is the same.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. Try it out yourself if you already have one of those.
