What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.

Don't work the emulation of shake of the Nunckunck.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

In the part of awaken the spectrobes, you need to shake the Nunckunck.

Which versions of Dolphin did you test on? Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which versions of Dolphin used to work?

I tried it in 4.0-9475. It works in stable version 4.0.2.

What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)

OS: Windows 7 64 bit Professional
CPU: Intel i7-2670QM @ 2.20GHz

Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots, configuration files)

It works with shake X and Y in the same button in the stable version.

More details from the corresponding forum thread:

"In the 3.5 build, with X and Y shake of the Nunchuck in the same button works. But in the next versions it stopped working."
"ok, i just tried the version stable 4.0.2 and it work. I suppose the error is in the non-stable builds."

It must have been with the nunchuk cleanup: https://dolphin-emu.org/download/dev/81cc177c44b3aab4342774708329093a0ef2e5a0/

Could you try with https://dolphin-emu.org/download/dev/master/4.0-4536/ first, then try the version above?

If the issue appears on both versions, can you try with this bisect tool?: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-green-notice-development-thread-unofficial-dolphin-bisection-tool-for-finding-broken-builds

Just to keep things on record, if this is a regression and our emulated wiimote shake values aren't ideal for this game, I'm very hesitant to change it at this point. It seems to work for everything else that we're aware of.

And no game specific hacks pls.

EDIT: The correct solution here is to implement configurable shake values, possibly as a slider (Though dunno how I would fit that in UI), and I'm not a maniac and won't touch this until after 5.0. :P

  • Milestone deleted (Current)

We'll likely be unable to do anything about this in time for 5.0 since we don't know how any changes to the shake code might affect all the other games. Besides, Fog added Milestone Current despite this not being a blocker (as said on IRC).

We're not even sure what the cause of the issue is yet.

I tried with the two versions(4536 and 4543) and the issue persist. I don't know if you asked me to do that.

Use my bisector in the link Fog gave above to find which build broke it

Any kind of shake changes should wait until after 5.0.

Even if we patched it, it'd just be changing one game for another. Wiimote shake is the same.

I used the Bisect Tool, to stable 4.0.2 to 4.0-9475. The error didn't appear and the program say me that the cause may be the version 4.0-9477. So, i believe it be any version before 4.0-9475. What is 5.0?

Updated by lenoso1992 almost 8 years ago

New Discovery, all the versions launch with the Bisect Tool works fine, no problem. But if i try the last version that Bisect tool download, don't work. And in the versions that nunckuck shake works, the videos of the game displays with errors.
