When playing Tales of Symphonia the player character moves several times faster than possible on an actual gamecube. This is restricted to the player character while npcs, monsters and everything else moves at normal speed. Additionally it will only occur in towns, dungeons and also menu screens are noticeably faster while battles and the world map are unaffected.

This issue has apparently existed since at least 2011 based on old forum posts, however I did not find a similar issue in the tracker.
