Description
Hi
The game is Zelda : Twilight Princess (GC) "id : GZ2P01" EUR
So I'm trying to call the Owl/Dragon at some point of the game when link is a Wolf. Everytime i try, the game crashes (video freezes and sound is looping) and i have to restart the game.
Dolphin version with the problem :
Dolphin r7468 x64
Operating system and version:
Windows 7 Pro updated, 64 bit
Game ID :GZ2P01
The ISO isn't compressed.
I would like to try with an USA version of the game to see if the problem comes from the ROM, but i don't know how to convert my memorycard.A.EUR into an USA one.
Is there any procedure?
Thanks
I just tried and it doesn't work.
Thank you anyway.
Any other suggestion?
Triggering this seems to have been possible for quite some time, probably even before marcos fifo reset fixes, but it was much harder(about 10 tries). Debug Builds give the message: "ERROR : Trying to compile at 0. LR=8025459c". Bisecting points to r7465.
Bisecting of increasing frequency of crashing being an inexact science, it looks like the frequency already could have increased sometime after r7451.
"I just tried and it doesn't work."
Well you need to dump the dsp roms from a Wii/GC and place them in /user/gc and then LLE will work.
You can try enabling MMU + MMU speedhack, some reports mentioned that might solve this particular crash. Other users reported that enabling LLE audio might also fix this crash.
You can also try disabling the Hyrule Field (ZTP) speedhack although that will make the game slower.
On the USA version, MMU speed hack fix the issue.
i'm not sure the mmu speed hack fixes it, i brought a copy from gamestop ripped the iso to my computer, and enabled the speed hack and it does not work. However i do notice that disabling dual core mode fixes the issue for me.
Strange.. and about "Enable MMU"?
Disabling did work in with my issue !
Thank you all for your great advices.
enable mmu did not work for me.
and at vivian do you mean you disabled dual core mode and the issue was fixed?
Yes, i disabled the dual core.
The thing is, disable it just to do what you have to do and then save.
Put the dual core mode back because the game is really slow without that (in my case).
Someone alive can reproduce this?, I want to test a code related with DVDInterface. May be can solve this bug. But i dont know how reproduce this again. I've lost my memory rar archive for that.
Yes, to reproduce, only howl to any howling stone (I've the a cleared MemCard fileof american version, I can upload the GCI if someone needs for testing)
jhonn.copperfield: I need It, please :)
I've attached the GCI, I've noted too that sometimes this issue occur when you travel by Midna's portals...

Is there a wiki page on compilng source and running in debug mode? I haven't programmed games before (Just P2P software and database applications C++/Qt/C#) but I was going to try and see if I couldn't figure this one out.
After reading about occasional crashes, I expected a lot of crashes but my game rarely crashes, Only when I go to the wolf howl stones..
So I disabled dual core temporarily like it says above, dolphin it says enabling it causes some glitches, but it did fix the problem. Some people say that it slows down the game.. But mine ran at normal speed. It's probably just my system, (macbook pro 2.8ghz) But it did fix the problem, and also my audio scores are sometimes missing.
I've managed to fix that problem, its really tedious but you can save then quit the entire game, and restart it, when I do that, I hear the audio that is often missing.
And when my game slows down, I open the window to configure the graphics but I don't change anything, this brings the speed back to normal. Hope this fixes anyone elses problem!
