Description

  1. Game Name and ID (as it appears in right click > properties: "GZ2P01",
    "RSBE01", etc):

The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword, SOUE01

2) What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The textures on hearts, vines, and Link's undershirt are missing. A strange pattern is rendered in its place.

3) Did the game ever work correctly (i.e. not have this problem) on an
earlier version of dolphin? Please specify the exact revision when the
problem began.

This is not an issue in the texcache-rewrite branch.

4) What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Using git HEAD as of now on Ubuntu 11.10 x86_64
  2. EFB Copied from Texture, Texture Cache accuracy second from right, Scaled EFB
  3. Find a heart, vine, or simply look at Link's shirt

5) What version of dolphin are you using (32bit/64bit along with the
version as it appears in the title bar, etc)?
On what operating system, drivers, and hardware? Be sure to list OS,
graphics driver information, and video card model if you are having
graphics problems, for example.

Dolphin 3.0-322 built on Ubuntu 11.10 x86_64 on a Radeon HD 5770 with the latest drivers.

6) Please provide any additional information below.

Try again with 3.0-223.

Unless he comes from the future, I think he already used 3.0-223:-)
Anyway I noticed that with the OpenGL plugin and every non texcache rewrite version (last one tried r3.0-226 - Revision b0ffa72e37c7 on WinXP) in the intro all the leaves on the wood trees are missing (with Dx9 instead intro is perfect); in the texcache rewrite version instead OpenGL shows all the leaves, so maybe that issue is related with this one.

uhm, and what about the fractional setting? Does it work or is it broken as well?

Yes it works that way so I don't know if it necessary to open an issue fixed just by changing internal resolution...maybe a note in the game.ini (emulation issues) could be added (a warning for OpenGL users).

I noticed the hearts look the same when textures are disabled. So maybe describing this as a 'texture' issue is incorrect - I don't know. Here's a screen with textures disabled: http://mike.slegeir.com/downloads/ZeldaSS-HeartsNoTextures.png

With Dolphin 3.0 r425, setting the "Internal Resolution" aka fractional setting to 1.5 or higher (and restarting Zelda SS) actually shows up the leaves an vines on Mac OS X...if started as 1x it won't...so same problem here.
