openCrash Nitro Kart Scaling bug

Description
Game Name?
crash nitro kart
Game ID?
GCNE7D
MD5 Hash?
1788dbbcf598ab30a9f6597f4c5ca4aa
What's the problem? Describe what went wrong.
The issue happens no matter what resolution you use (im on 2k internal res) but its the setting called "Scaled EFB Copy" under enhancements that has the issue
What steps will reproduce the problem?
Like i said above
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on? Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which versions of Dolphin used to work?
All versions, i always use latest dolphin builds (Development versions) and Ishiiruka-Dolphin Custom Version
What are your PC specifications? (CPU, GPU, Operating System, more)
Intel I7 4790K @4GHZ
MSI GTX 980 GAMING 4G
WINDOWS 10
16GB RAM
Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)
with Scaled EFB Copy off you dont get the line of color next to the missile but the game is very low res/pixelated, the line of color is 100% the apple texture as the texture file has few weapons etc in one file close to each other (i know as iv retextured some of the game) https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-crash-nitro-kart-hd-texture-fixes
its like the texture is being overlapped abit, i hope someone can look into it when they have the time, id really appreciate it

Is this fixed by using the "Vertex Rounding" hack found in the graphics -> 'Hacks' section?

I tired that setting but it actually makes it slightly worse :(
prob cause the textures seem to move a little to the left in this game and that bug is on the right of the missile

Can you create a fifo log of the issue? That would help someone be able to look into it. Just a frame or two of it occurring should be fine.

Yeah can do, never used fifo before but here it is, tested it and shows the bug
Was tricky as you dont always get the missile and you have to wait till the boxes go through the random weapons
its 133mb, sorry if thats too big, its the best i was able to get, i put the file in 2 rar folders so its 4.93mb so i can use the uploader here
I disabled my texture pack for this fifo file

Thank you, that will be helpful!
Looking at your fifo, I believe this to be the same bug that occurs on other games. The issue is noticeable at native resolution as well.
Other games that may exhibit this issue:
- Phantasy Star Online loading screen (GC)
- Fishing Resort right as you come to the island (Wii)
- Sexy Poker (Wiiware)
When I investigated Sexy Poker earlier this year, my impression was that it had something to do with the texture coordinates being off.

No problem, yeah its slightly noticeable at native, its just blurrier, so far only turning off Scaled EFB Copy thats under enhancements seems to almost remove it completely but then game will look bad :(
When i retextured the game i too noticed that the texture coordinates for this game are off as that colored line is the apple, on the texture file the apple shows as a solid rectangle and its right next to the missile texture, all weapons, characters etc are in one image file close to each other

This may be related to #10582 so I'm commenting to test fixes for this issue.

Just an update, iv tested this again on the latest version - 5.0-6946
Seems changing "Scaled EFB Copy" now makes no difference, the issue remains either way now :(

Honestly I felt like that was a misdiagnosis anyway since that's not an EFB effect.

Well theres been a few changes in dolphin since i last tested iv noticed but issue remains no matter the settings

Im wondering is this issue possible for being fixed?

Done more tests with normal builds and Ishiiruka build, still same issue :(

This bug seems to manifest in Super Monkey Ball as well. Screenshot from user attached.

Could we get a picture from running the fifo log on the hardware fifoplayer?
I seen that even the Software Renderer at native displays a line to the right of the weapon/powerup.
I'd say this game needs a hack/mod to fix the issue rather than any bug fixes, I don't think it's a Dolphin bug.
I think at native we are displaying this just like console does. I've seen the GameCube version of the longplay also includes a line to the right of the weapon/powerup

Confirmed to happen on real hardware using a smaller single-frame FIFO log. I've not run the actual game, so in theory it could still be a CPU bug but I doubt it. This is the same game that also had C4 tiling issues that are now patched by default (compare minimap between the two fifologs).
