Description

  1. Game Name and ID (as it appears in right click > properties: "GZ2P01",
    "RSBE01", etc):
    Wind waker

2) What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Wind Waker's sound getting stuck after a few gameplay (1-10mins). Even worst, this leads to a game stuck when a chest is opened while the audio is stuck.
Apparently solved when Dual Core is not enabled, though I didn't test this as a fix extensively, but it seems to coincide with this error."

3) Did the game ever work correctly (i.e. not have this problem) on an
earlier version of dolphin? Please specify the exact revision when the
problem began.
No idea, first time I use dolphin

4) What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Open Windwaker
  2. Play for a while
  3. a: You may need to pass Dragon Roost Island. I didn't have this issue back then, but then again, I think I was playing in Ubuntu for this part of the game, or alternating...

5) What version of dolphin are you using (32bit/64bit along with the
version as it appears in the title bar, etc)? Do not say 'latest version'
this changes multiple times a day.
On what operating system, drivers, and hardware? Be sure to list OS,
graphics driver information, and video card model if you are having
graphics problems, for example.

3.0-735-dirty Windows 64bit build on Windows with Intel HD Graphics from B960 chipset. Drivers? It's Intel, so I guess I can say 'latest version'

On Ubuntu it just says 3.0. Same system specs

6) Please provide any additional information below.

I come from issue 4940, where it was said 5563 could be related to mine, however, it is said it also affects Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, but in my version, I played Sonic Adventure 2 Battle extensively with NO issues.

Would you please use 3.0-750, changing the audio back-end to "No Audio Output" and then try opening the chest? Let me know if that let's the game continue.

I don't know where to find it.... I go to the downloads section, and the one up is 3.0. And in dolphin-emulator, the latest is 3.0-739, of which the 64 bit version says is being compiled

There are some builds here:

http://dl.dolphin-emu.org/builds/

The filename is dolphin-master-3.0-750-x64.7z

In 3.0-750, getting the audio stuck, and then changing to No Audio Output still gets th e same result once a chest (actually the event is getting an item, as learning a "song" also triggered it) is opened. (and even while being in No Audio Output, the stuck sound continued).
I left the game on for 15 minutes, since now I wouldn't know for sure when whatever made the audio stuck would happen again. Then, proceeded to trigger an item get, same as the one above, and it got stuck likewise.

This still happens in 3.5 on Windows 7 (3.5 x64). Every once in a while, seemingly randomly, the sound will get stuck in a loop, and the game will get stuck at the next chest I open. Setting the DSP to LLE does fix it, but it drops my FPS from around 30 to around 20, so it's not really ideal.

Did you try with the last revision? (3.5-301)

I just tried; I tried the OpenAL backend (might try to others when I have more time). Now the sound simply turned off after a while, but hey, the game didn't get stuck!

Turning of sound might be due to issue 5889

I meant turning off

Not in Wind Waker, it wouldn't. new-ax-hle only affects games that use the AX µcode, not the Zelda µcode.

Shouldn't be, ZWW bgm loop fix was commited a long time ago, besides OpenAll also works fine

It isn't this bad anymore, but Zelda Ucode in HLE still sucks.

If you use the warp the game becomes stuck.
