Game Name?
Any game
Game ID?
any
What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
When using OpenGL as backend and start any game the game exit confirmation modal window is not displayed when I press exit. Seems like the window is not rendered but it is "there" since the game pauses and if I press Enter it will exit as if I pressed the OK button on that confirmation window.
What did you expect to happen instead?
Se the confirmation window like on DX backend.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Start any game.
- Press Esc key.
Dolphin 3.5 and 3.5-367 are old versions of Dolphin that have
known issues and bugs, so don't report issues about them and test the
latest Dolphin version first.
Which versions of Dolphin did you test on?
I think this issue was present in 3.5 as well. Latest Dev revisions have it too.
Does using an older version of Dolphin solve your issue? If yes, which
versions of Dolphin used to work?
no
What are your PC specifications? (including, but not limited to: Operating
System, CPU and GPU)
OS: Win7 x64, CPU: AMD quad core, VC: AMD Radeon HD 5850.
Are you using the 32 or the 64 bit version of Dolphin?
64
Is there any other relevant information? (e.g. logs, screenshots,
configuration files)

Sounds like a wgl issue as this doesn't happen on linux. Does this only happen on full screen? What happens if you press alt+tab?

Unable to reproduce on my Geforce 760. But skidau was able to reproduce it on his AMD card. Hmm...

This happens for me also using Ubuntu 13.10 x64, Radeon HD 6870. It's only a problem in full-screen mode. In windowed mode, the confirmation dialogue pops up, so I assume that the confirmation dialogue is hidden behind the game when in fullscreen.

slmpika: Which window manager do you use? I'm on gnome3 here. I'll test some others.

I'm using the Unity interface, so compiz.

I reproduce it every time. I only use full screen so don't know about windowed mode, will test it later today. Based on comments above maybe this is AMD VC driver related?

I confirm that the issue is not pressent if fullscreen is not used.

Tried using full screen, was unable to reproduce anyway.
This is either something that only happens on certain environments or user error. Guessing the former in this case.

I would like to confirm this too.
I first mentioned this as one of my reasons as to why I don't use the OpenGL backend (when Delroth made OpenGL the default backend).
I have the exact issues described, nothing I do can remedy it. No such issue with D3D11. I cannot see how this can be user error?
PC Specifications:
Windows 7 x64, Intel 4670k and AMD 7950.

Probably an issue on Radeons for some reason? Putting as questionable. This is probably valid, but I can't confirm it.

I'm surprised no one mentioned that having "Render to Main Window" is required for this bug to occur. Using OpenGL and "Render to Main Window" I'm able to reproduce this. I initially traced it to 3.5-1576 however that is when confirm to stop was enabled by default. The first time this behavior happens is on 3.5-106.
Configuration:
- Intel i5-3450
- AMD HD7870
- Windows 8

We should probably exit fullscreen before we display that dialog to prevent issues like this one.

I've been told this is fixed.
